Conduct research on the lab’s government- or industry-funded projects, or on an independent creative research topic.연구실이 수행 중인 국가/기업 과제 또는 창의연구 주제를 대상으로 연구를 수행합니다.

One-on-One Meetings & Lab Seminars개인 미팅 및 연구실 세미나

Take part in lab activities such as seminars and outings. You will also present at lab seminars and receive feedback on your research from Prof. Damdae Park and your labmates.연구실 세미나, 아웃팅 등 연구실 내에서 열리는 모임에 참여합니다. 또한, 연구실 세미나 발표를 통해 교수님과 동료들로부터 수행한 연구에 대한 피드백을 받습니다.

Join the lab’s winter and summer study groups to build foundational skills in advance and shape a research topic that suits your interests for when you begin graduate school.동계/하계에 진행되는 연구실 스터디 모임에 함께 참여하여 기초 역량을 미리 습득하고, 입학 후 본인 적성에 맞는 연구 주제를 설정해 갑니다.

  1. Personal statement — 1–2 A4 pages covering your motivation, research interests, and coursework/extracurricular experience자기소개서 — 지원 동기, 관심 연구 분야, 수업/대외활동 경험 등 포함하여 A4 1~2장으로 작성
  2. Academic transcript — transfer students should also include transcripts from their previous institution성적증명서 — 편입생의 경우 전적대 성적증명서 포함

You will then define your research topic through one-on-one meetings with Prof. Damdae Park, lab study groups, and exploration of specific research topics.이후 교수님과의 개별 면담, 연구실 스터디, 세부 연구주제 탐색 활동을 통해 연구 주제를 설정하게 됩니다.

    If you are certain about going to graduate school, we recommend contacting us just before the summer break of your junior (third) year so that you can join the lab’s internal summer study group.대학원 진학 생각이 확고하다면 3학년 여름방학 직전에 연락해서 여름방학 연구실 내부스터디에 참가하는 것을 추천드립니다.

  • Q. I am preparing for a job and do not plan to go to graduate school, but I would like to write my graduation thesis in the lab. Can I still apply for the internship?Q. 취업을 준비중이라 대학원 진학은 계획이 없지만, 연구실에서 졸업논문을 작성하고 싶습니다. 이 경우에도 인턴 지원이 가능할까요?

    Yes. You can write your graduation thesis in the lab regardless of your graduate school plans. However, you must be able to take part in internal lab activities (e.g., seminars, outings) while working on your thesis.네, 졸업논문을 연구실에서 작성하는 것은 대학원 진학과는 별개로 지원 가능합니다. 다만, 졸업논문 작성 기간 동안 연구실 내부 활동(예: 세미나, 아웃팅 등)에 참여할 수 있어야 합니다.

  • Q. What kind of track record can I build as an intern in the lab?Q. 연구실에서 인턴을 하면서 쌓을 수 있는 이력이 있나요?

    During the winter break of the junior year, our lab runs a special study group aimed at winning awards at the Process Design Competition and the Chem Frontier (Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Creative Design Competition), both hosted by the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers (KIChE) with applications due each July.저희 연구실에서는 한국화학공학회 주관 공정설계 경진대회와 대학생 화학공학 창의설계 경진대회(Chem Frontier)(매년 7월 접수) 입상을 목표로 3학년 겨울방학에 특별 스터디를 진행합니다.

  • Q. I would like to write my thesis on research being conducted in the lab. I am already in the first semester of my senior year, so it may be a bit late to apply. Can I still complete my graduation thesis on time?Q. 학위논문을 연구실에서 수행중인 연구를 주제로 작성해보고 싶습니다. 이미 4학년 1학기라 연구실 지원이 좀 늦은 것 같은데, 제때 졸업논문 작성이 가능한가요?

    You can participate in research if at least eight months remain before the thesis submission month. Since research time is limited during the semester, you will need to be able to focus intensively on research during the break. To make this possible, we recommend avoiding outside part-time work and instead joining a paid research project as a member of our lab.졸업논문 제출월까지 8개월 이상 남아 있는 경우, 연구 참여가 가능합니다. 학기중에는 연구 시간이 제한적이므로 방학 때 집중적으로 연구를 수행할 수 있는 환경이 마련되어야 합니다. 이를 위해 학업 외의 개인적인 근로 활동을 지양하고, 본 연구실 소속으로 유급 연구 프로젝트에 참여하는 방안을 권장합니다.

    Only students who plan to join the lab as graduate students after earning their bachelor’s degree receive a stipend starting 15 months before graduate admission (e.g., for admission in March 2028, payments begin in December 2026).학부 졸업 후 연구실 진학을 목표로 하는 학생에 한하여, 대학원 입학 15개월 전부터 인건비가 지급됩니다 (2028년 3월 입학 예정시, 2026년 12월부터 지급)
